I´m going to write about the Swedish car history and about the different companies.
We have 2 big manufacurerss, Volvo and Saab. Volvo is the biggest one, they are building cars, trucks, boat engines and so on.
The other big one is Saab, Saab first started to make war aeroplanes and then started to make cars in 1947.
We do have one other car company, they don´t make many cars they produce up to 2 cars a year. They are called Koeniggseg,
The person who founded Koeniggsegg was Christian von Koeniggsegg. Christians dream was to make supercars and his dream became true in 1994 when he started to build his first car with his dad.
He developed his first serieproduced car in 2002, the Koeniggsegg cc8s, it was the strongest car in the world, 655 horse powers. The first car that was delivered to a Swede was in 2006, 4 years after the first serieproduced car.
Today is Christian constructing the most expensive car in the world, it costs 35 millions Swedish Crowns.
The diamond colour costs 20millions more than a original coulor.
The most famous and biggest car company in Sweden in Volvo, Volvo was founded in 1924 as a subsidiaries for SKF with Assar Gabrielsson as VD.
Their first car was the Volvo öv4, they began to produce öv4 in 1924 and the first car was done in 1927 and looked like this:
In 1928 began Volvo to produce trucks and they earned more money when they sold trucks than when they sold cars.
After world war 2 began the ordinary cars to grow abd cars like Volvo amazon, pv444 and pv 544 to be popular.
Volvo creates busses, trucks, cars, boat engines, aero plane engines and construction equipments too.
The most popular car after the world war 2 was Volvo amazon and they produced 667.323 amzons. In gotherburg they named streets after Volvo cars like Volvo Jacob street.
